Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plans Wellmark’s Alliance SelectSM PPO Plans allow employees to see any provider for most covered services. Employees can go directly to specialists without a referral and have the freedom to go outside the network, although they'll pay less for services from network providers.

We offer four Alliance Select PPO products. Each of these products offers a number of plan options, with varying deductible and coinsurance amounts, to help fit your company’s budget:

• Copayment Plans — Employees pay flat-dollar copayments for office-based services. Most other services are subject to a deductible and coinsurance.
• Coinsurance Plans — Employees pay a certain percentage of the provider’s billed charge for office services. Most other services are subject to a deductible and coinsurance.
• Primary Plans — Employees pay a lower office visit copay for primary care and a higher office visit copay for non-primary care. Most other services are subject to a deductible and coinsurance. 
• Premium Saver Plans — Employees pay a lower office exam copay for primary care and a higher office exam copay for non-primary care. Most other services are subject to a deductible and coinsurance.
